Product Description:
MYDATML2 contains a combination of key high interest science parameters
obtained from the complete set of standard at-launch Level-2 Source
Products: Aerosol Properties (Optical Depth, Small Mode Optical Depth Ratio,
Small and Large Mode Solution Index over Ocean, Effective Particle Radius
and QA Flags), Water Vapor Properties (Near-IR and IR Total Column Water),
Cloud Properties (Optical Thickness, Effective Radius, Phase, Cloud Top
Temperature and Pressure, Cloud Fraction and Cirrus Reflectance) and Cloud
Mask Flags. It is to be noted that two sets of geolocation arrays (5 km and
10 km resolution) are provided in this product. Some of the science
parameters (cloud, water-vapor and cloud mask) have been subsampled to 5 km,
from the original 1 km data. This product was designed to be compact (a
single CD can contain one full day of data files!) yet robust enough to be
useful to a significant number of MODIS data users.
