MOD01
MODIS/Terra Raw Radiances in Counts 5-Min L1A Swath
Level 1A collection contains digitized raw detector counts for the 36 MODIS spectral bands as well as engineering and spacecraft ancillary data. Only bands 20 to 36 are used to collect measurements in night mode, while all bands are used in day mode.

This Level 1B collection contains calibrated and geolocated radiances at-aperture for all 36 MODIS spectral bands at 1km resolution.

This Level 1B collection contains calibrated and geolocated radiances at-aperture for MODIS spectral bands 1 through 7 at 500m resolution.

MOD04_L2
MODIS/Terra Aerosol 5-Min L2 Swath 10km
The MODIS Level 2 aerosol product, MOD04_L2, provides retrieved ambient aerosol optical properties (e.g., optical thickness and size distribution), mass concentration, look-up table derived reflected and transmitted fluxes, as well as quality assurance and other ancillary parameters, globally over ocean and near globally over land at a spatial resolution of 10 km at nadir.

MODIS/Terra Total Precipitable Water Vapor 5-Min L2 Swath 1km and 5km
This Level 2 data collection contains derived precipitable column water vapor amounts, during daytime using a near-infrared over clear land areas and above clouds over both land and ocean; water vapor estimates are provided over clear ocean areas.

MODIS/Terra Clouds 5-Min L2 Swath 1km and 5km
The Level 2 MODIS atmospheric cloud product, MOD06_L2, consists of cloud top physical parameters (temperature, pressure, effective emissivity), cloud phase, cloud optical parameters (optical depth, effective particle radius, water path), cirrus reflectance in the visible band, contrail flag, and other derived parameters over the globe at spatial resolution of 1 km or 5 km at nadir. This product consists of 46 parameters.

MODIS/Terra Temperature and Water Vapor Profiles 5-Min L2 Swath 5km
The MODIS Atmospheric Profile data product file MOD07_L2 onsists of several parameters: they are total-ozone burden, atmospheric stability, temperature and moisture profiles, and atmospheric water vapor. All of these parameters are produced day and night for Level 2 at 5x5 1-km pixel resolution when at least 9 FOVs are cloud free. The MODIS total-ozone burden is an estimate of the total-column tropospheric and stratospheric ozone content. The MODIS atmospheric stability consists of three daily Level 2 atmospheric stability indices. The Total Totals (TT), the Lifted Index (LI), and the K index (K) are each computed using the infrared temperature- and moisture-profile data, also derived as part of MOD07. The MODIS temperature and moisture profiles are produced at 20 vertical levels. The MODIS atmospheric water-vapor product is an estimate of the total tropospheric column water vapor made from integrated MODIS infrared retrievals of atmospheric moisture profiles in clear scenes.

MODIS/Terra Cloud Mask and Spectral Test Results 5-Min L2 Swath 250m and 1km
The Level 2 MODIS cloud mask product, MOD35_L2, consists of global cloud mask, quality assurance, and other ancillary parameters. The visible and infrared threshold and consistency tests are used to specify confidence levels that an unobstructed view of the Earth's surface is observed. An indication of shadows affecting the scene is also provided. MOD35_L2 parameters are produced at spatial resolution of 1-km and 250-m at nadir. Including ancillary parameters, this product consists of 9 parameters.

MODIS/Terra Joint (Cloud, Aerosol, Water Vapor and Profile) 5-Min L2 Swath at 5-km and 10-km
MODATML2 contains a combination of key high interest science parameters obtained from the complete set of standard at-launch Level-2 Source Products: Aerosol Properties (Optical Depth, Small Mode Optical Depth Ratio, Small and Large Mode Solution Index over Ocean, Effective Particle Radius and QA Flags), Water Vapor Properties (Near-IR and IR Total Column Water), Cloud Properties (Optical Thickness, Effective Radius, Phase, Cloud Top Temperature and Pressure, Cloud Fraction and Cirrus Reflectance) and Cloud Mask Flags. It is to be noted that two sets of geolocation arrays (5 km and 10 km resolution) are provided in this product. Some of the science parameters (cloud, water-vapor and cloud mask) have been subsampled to 5 km, from the original 1 km data. This product was designed to be compact (a single CD can contain one full day of data files!) yet robust enough to be useful to a significant number of MODIS data users.

This is a level-3 MODIS gridded atmosphere daily global joint product, MOD08_D3. It contains daily 1 x 1 degree grid average values of atmospheric parameters related to atmospheric aerosol particle properties, total ozone burden, atmospheric water vapor, cloud optical and physical properties, and atmospheric stability indices.

This is a level-3 MODIS gridded atmosphere eight-day global product, MOD08_E3. It contains eight-day 1 x 1 degree grid average values of atmospheric parameters related to atmospheric aerosol particle properties, total ozone burden, atmospheric water vapor, cloud optical and physical properties, and atmospheric stability indices.
