Abstract	PGE63 6.1.0 Only major changes have been shown here for brevity: New PGE (PGE63) that can be run in production. Update post processing ancillary data. New seven class layer. Production of Antarctica tiles.
Problem Statement	This PCR marks the start of the MODAPS processing of the global MODIS TERRA Land Water Mask (LWM) from C6.1 (C61) onwards.
Description of Change	Initial version of the science processing algorithm to make the Land Water Mask (LWM) product was developed by science team. Loader module (LM) and production rule updates and additions were made by MODAPS STIG to complete the transition of this process to a MODAPS PGE. Comparing with the C6 MODIS LWM, specific algorithm change/improvements for this version involve, Formalize the disparate scripts into a cohesive software that can be run in production. Update post processing ancillary data. Updated coefficient files and incorporated new coefficient files for Antarctica tiles.

Data Granules to be Used for Science Testing	A series of science tests were carried out in AS 1956. The outputs from this test were fully assessed and approved by LDOPE and the science team.
Justification	The updated PGE ensures that the C61 LWM product is produced annually for the mission period. Key improvements involve, Seven class water layers produced at 250m resolution and provided in tiled format. Production of Antarctica tiles.
Effective Date for Implementation of Change	MODAPS was requested to restart the reprocessing of the C61 LWM products, with all the changes mentioned herein, as of 11/13/2023.
