| Problem Statement | The operational GIBS L3 Land process for Collection 6 (PGE132) was producing relatively darker RGB images for the MAIAC MCD19A1/A2 products, compared to equivalent products from MCD43, on GIBS WorldView (WV). |
| Description of Change | PGE132 V6.0.30 has been updated to change the data range stretching scheme from "linear" to "piecewise", similar to what is used for the MCD43 and MxD09 products. |

| Justification | The PGE132, operating in the OPS and NRT streams, for C6, was producing the 3-layer RGB JPEG images for MCD19A1/A3 visible bands that were relatively darker, when compared to similar RGB true-color images from MxD09 or MCD43. This was because the MAIAC images were using a "linear" stretch of the data ranges, compared to "piecewise" that is used for the MxD09 and MCD43 products. So, the same was implemented for MAIAC products too, starting V6.0.30. |
