| Abstract | PGE502 3.0.34 The NPP_CRS_L1B to enable the population of the to include solar/sensor zenith/azimuth. These are populated using the "max" method of the code. Currently, the method calculates the max of the solar/sensor value. The change was put into NPP_CRS_L1B 2.0.1 and a new version of PGE502/L1B,v3.0.34, was prepared to point to this new version of NPP_CRS_L1B. Note that PGE502/L1B 3.0.34 uses L1WG software package v3.2.3. For the C2 SNPP and JPSS1, we have used L1WG v3.1. The only change between L1WG v3.1 and v3.2.3 is support of JPSS2. |
| Problem Statement | Revision to the VIIRS coarse products for the DNB L1B products, VNP02DNB, VJ102DNB and VJ202DNB, so that the coarse products contain the solar and sensor zenith and azimuth angle information as are present for the MOD and IMG L1B coarse products. |

| Data Granules to be Used for Science Testing | PGE502 3.0.34-0, which was prepped to point to the revised coarse, was science tested using NPP, JPSS1, and JPSS2 data. LDOPE reviewed the test results and confirmed the coarse outputs contained the solar/senso zenith/azimuth data sets. In addition, LDOPE reviewed the SNPP and JPSS1 L1B products, all resolutions, to confirm no differences introduced by going from L1WG v3.1 to v3.2.3. PGE502 3.0.34 was put into the nrt and standard production starting with data from 5/22/2025. |
