| Abstract | PGE555 2.0.4 Official C2 version of LBAN, VNP46A2, for NPP, and later for JPSS1. C2 variation of PGE555 included changes to the start up database files; separation processing approach of water-only tiles vs non-water tiles in that the water-only tiles now use a different startup database file and a static DNB BRDF input, while the non-water tiles use the DNB BRDF produced by PGE535. This variation of PGE555 will be used for reprocessing NPP and then the leading edge as well with the intent that it will be used for JPSS1 once NPP has progressed. For the NPP beginning of mission, another set of startup database files for non-water tiles was provided by science team, prepped, and installed for use. Note that since PGE535/DNB BRDF were only needed for non-water tiles, the Linear Lat Lon variation of PGE535 was configured to only process those tiles needed for LBAN non-water tiles. |
| Problem Statement | Initial C2 version of Daily LBAN, PGE555, going in for NPP. Processing started on ops4, AS5200, start data day 12/5/23 and then processed to the leading edge. This began on 5/17/24. Once completed, we staged to process NPP from beginning of mission onward, and that initiated on 6/20/24. |
