| Abstract | C1 subversion code packages were ported to Ubuntu-20, with only those changes needed to gain successful build and executions while yielding comparable outputs to those generated from CentOS7 variations. For this streamlined C1 processing stream, only the BRDF, DNB BRDF (SIN resolution), and BRDF CMGs are being exported to the LP DAAC. No other data produced in this stream is to be exported. |
| Problem Statement | CentOS7 systems went offline effective 6/17/2024 causing C1 NPP production to halt. Due to various circumstances, the NPP C2 reprocessing/processing is not to a point for BRDF and LBAN products where we can fully discontinue C1 processing. Therefore, Ubuntu variations of C1 PGEs needed to support generation of BRDF and LBAN products have been created for use and are slated to go into forward production only; no reprocessing with these versions is slated to happen. |

| Justification | To prevent gap in C1 products and support contractual obligations. |
| Effective Date for Implementation of Change | The swath and daily PGEs needed to support LBAN and BRDF will be used from 6/17/24, while the n-day sequential PGEs, such as BRDF, DNB BRDF, and LBAN, will be used from either 6/1/24 onward or 5/25/24. Please see attached for specific start times for use of ubuntu variations. |
