| Abstract | PGE500 3.0.11, PGE501 3.0.34, PGE502 3.0.30, PGE560 2.0.4, PGE591 2.0.1, PGE592 2.0.3, PGE595 2.0.6, PGE599 1.0.10 As part of migrating to gitlab, the Land SIPS VIIRS libraries, and PGEs are also being updated to build and execute on Ubuntu systems. We had previously switched to using the gitlab CentOS7 versions of the L1 PGEs in forward processing and now want to move to using the Ubuntu variations, which are in line with the Gitlab CentOS7 versions. This is in preparation for CentOS7 systems being eliminated. |
| Problem Statement | Converting to using Ubuntu gitlab versions of PGEs in use in SNPP C2 and JPSS1 C2.1 L1 forward processing. PGEs include: PGE500/L1A, PGE501/Geolocation, PGE502/L1B, PGE595/L0 splitter, PGE599/Kalman Filter (SNPP only), PGE560/Control Point, PGE591/Geolocation Light, and PGE592/CERES subsetter. |

| Data Granules to be Used for Science Testing | A science test was conducted, to confirm the gitlab Ubuntu variations of PGEs and shared codes was executed over a 44 day period for both SNPP and JPSS1. |
| Justification | Transitioning to Ubuntu variations will set the foundation for converting to Ubuntu for all C2 PGEs as CentOS7 systems will be phased out later this year. |
| Effective Date for Implementation of Change | PGEs noted in attached document can go into forward processing for SNPP AS5200 and JPSS1 AS5201 starting 02/22/22; installed for use and start use as of 02/23/22 data. |
