| Abstract | PGE510 2.0.8 1. Revision to daytime.c to correct flaw occassionally causing a '17' to appear in the fire mask over sun glint. 2. Minor update to PGE510.pl so metadata field "Satellite" value is set to NPP or JPSS1 accordingly rather than defaulting to NPP. |
| Problem Statement | The current PGE510 running in NRT, occasioanally shows an erroneous value of "17", especially over areas affected by sun-glint. This have been fixed in the PGE510 V2.0.8. |

| Data Granules to be Used for Science Testing | Science tests have been carried out for both S-NPP and J1, using PGE510 (V2.0.8) in AS 3353 and all results have been assessed and confirmed by the science team and LDOPE. |
| Justification | The S-NPP/J1 375m active fire code in NRT is running an older version of PGE510 that occasioanally shows erroneous values of "17" over ocean sun-glint areas, which has now been fixed and corrected. |
| Effective Date for Implementation of Change | PGE510 V2.0.8 was put in nrt3/4 for J1 and S-NPP on 02/05/2021. |
