| Abstract | PGE01 6.1.7 - Updated Long Term Trend in Geolocation LUTs for Terra and Aqua through 2024-07-05. |
| Problem Statement | Updates to extend MODIS pointing correction from 06/05/2022 to 07/05/2024 in geolocation parameter look-up tables (LUTs). The extension corrects for geolocation biases of about 40 m for Terra MODIS and about 25 m for Aqua MODIS in C61 forward-processing data streams. There is no code change. |
| Description of Change | Regular periodic updates of geolocation LUTs to maintain geolocation performance. These updates use geolocation residuals in the last few years to predict MODIS pointing corrects for the next two (2) years. There is no code change. |

| Data Granules to be Used for Science Testing | A science test was run, using this updated PGE01 V6.1.7, in AS 1907, to confirm that the PGE is using the MOD03LUT.coeff_V6.1.7 and MYD03LUT.coeff_V6.1.7 correctly and these LUTs are correctly prepared. The tests were run in AS 1907. The results are good (as expected). |
