Abstract	PGE159N 6.1.2 For all science changes, refer to section 8 above. In addition, the following are to be noted: New version of code in python2/3. Adds header to output file: "latitude,longitude,Mid-IR,scan,track,acq_date,acq_time,satellite,confidence,version,Long-IR,frp,daynight". Header only files are deleted in the COMB/PGE603.pl file by checking m5sum and file size. Added code to fireloc2.py to deal with inconsistent handling of single element arrays. i.e., the error that we see in scan/track when there is only one fire pixel entry in the input files.
Problem Statement	Replace the set of HAND mask files, ESDTs of MCDWD_HHM and MCDWD_IHM, on nrt3 and on nrt4 to new set created beginning of December 2022 and enable their use by PGE159N for MODIS combined data processing streams.
Description of Change	At present, use of HAND mask by PGE159N v6.1.2 in NRT system is disabled. New set of masking files was created and tested on nrt4 system and verified as being correct set for production runs.

Data Granules to be Used for Science Testing	A science test was conducted, to confirm this new HAND mask files were staged for use and processed with successfully by running it over an extended period from nrt4
Justification	The HAND mask has been in development over the past 6 months and is now ready for deployment. The mask screens out water detections from mountainous areas, where false-positives are common due to terrain shadows and flood is unlikely to accumulate at the 250m scale of observation.
Effective Date for Implementation of Change	Enabling use of HAND mask by C61 specific PGE159N V6.1.2 can be made operational from NRT, starting 01/11/2023
