| Problem Statement | Currently C6 MxD09GQK/MxD09GQ products are not generated in the operational processing for the southern hemisphere polar tiles. |
| Description of Change | MODAPS changed the tile definitions and created a new recipe to include the 29 missing polar tiles, over the southern hemisphere, for C6 PGE12/PGE13. With this fix, the L2G/L2G lite QKM products (MxD09GQK/MxD09GQ respectively) will now show coverage over the southern polar areas. |

| Justification | The L2G and L2G-lite LSR products from operational C6 were seen not to cover the southern hemisphere polar tiles. These tiles may be needed for the users who study Antarctic, though for not land change, but for change in albedo. This change in the PGE12/PGE13 production rules will generate those 29 tiles which were not being generated in the past collection processing. |
