| Abstract | PGE03 v6.1.1: Updated MOD_PRLCAT - Bug fix was made to MOD_PRAlg17/alg17.cpp in the marine low cloud section of the algorithm. There was a "one-off" indexing problem based on the month of input data ('m'). Use of new destripe_config_terra files (revision 2). |
| Problem Statement | Collection 6 Terra IR radiances were subject to crosstalk in Terra Bands 27-30, which resulted in spurious clouds over ocean from 2013 to present. After the February 2016 safe-hold, PGE03 thresholds were updated to partially correct cloud artifacts. PGE03 in Collection 6.1 uses corrected IR radiances, so the threshold adjustment can be removed, but the de-striper requires updates to better match the new calibration. |
| Description of Change | In Collection 6.1, the PGE03 (and PGE06) Terra IR band de-striper configuration tables were updated to be consistent with updated L1B. No changes were required for Aqua. |
