| Justification | LST over certain desert area can exceed the preset maximum of 344K. The time series analysis of the day time LST over these area reveal LST as saturated at 344K, thereby failing to retrieve any true LST value exceeding this maximum. This change to C6 will let the algorithm retrieve the observed maximum LST. Science team and LDOPE request that this change be put in operation at the leading edge of the C6 reprocessing. Re-reprocessing of LST will need significant resource and percentage of retrieval affected by this error in the C6 data reprocessed until now isn't significant enough to warrant an immediate re-reprocessing of the LST from the beginning of the mission. |
