| Abstract | Remove the supplemental aerosol and snow/cloud test in the composite. |
| Problem Statement | 1. Noise in the composited reflectance due to the use of supplemental aerosol and snow/cloud test using band 6, and 7. 2. Adjacent cloud flag was not used in the composite. |
| Description of Change | In this patch the supplemental aerosol and snow/cloud test were removed. The adjacent cloud flag is used in the compositing process and the QA bits are updated to reflect the use of the adjacent cloud. The quality flag documentation is corrected in the QA SDS attribute and the file specification. |

| Data Granules to be Used for Science Testing | Terra and Aqua global test for the 8-day period starting data day 2003-193. Aqua 6-tile test for the 8-day period 2003-193 using the new L2G where bands 5, 6, and 7 are shifted to register with bands 1-4. |
| Justification | This change to the code is necessary to remove the noise due to the unwanted tests. Pixels adjacent to cloud need to be identified as adjacent to cloud since they are not flagged as cloud. |
