| Abstract | Fix to correct shift in band 5-7 with respect to bands 1-4 for Aqua. |
| Problem Statement | Bands 5, 6, and 7 were not registered with respect to bands 1 - 4 in Aqua (by about 380m in the track direction). |
| Description of Change | The L2G process was modified so that MODIS/Aqua Bands 5, 6 and 7 are shifted forward by one 500m line in the track direction in the L2G products. The shift is not applied to the 500m line at the trailing edge of the scan because of Earth rotation and bow-tie effects. The 500m QA field is updatedappropriately. |

| Justification | The 500m bands in the L2G product now have much better registration. Downstream science algorithms (like Burned Area and 8-day Surface Reflectance) that use combinations of Bands 1-4 and 5-7 should nowproduce better results. |
