| Abstract | To implement updates in PGE06 v6.0.75 to MOD_PRLCAT, MOD_PR06OD and bug fixes to the Loader Module. |
| Problem Statement | 1. MOD_PRLCAT (LEOCAT) can crash in rare cases where Geolocation values are missing.2. Science algorithm solution logic produces cloud optical thickness values above 150 in limited cases.3. Bug in the Loader Module calculation of the start date/time for surface Albedo files in cases where the year is beyond 2012 (cutoff year) and not a leap year. Proper albedo files are not always found. |
| Description of Change | 1. Updated MOD_PRLCAT to newer version that handles missing Geolocation parameters.2. Updated MOD_PR06OD to “clip” cloud optical thickness (COT) values at 150 during COT and effective radius (CER) retrievals.3. Changed the calculation of the start date time for the Albedo files to fetch the year from the "Config" table of the database so the start date/time for the albedo files are calculated correctly. When the year is beyond the cutoff year (no data) it will pick up the albedo file from the cutoff year.* Note: Each time new albedo files come in the data the "Config" table needs to be updated to the cutoff year. This is really important in operations. |
