| Abstract | To implement updates in PGE03 6.0.39 that fix metadata problems and MOD_PRAGG false messages and fetches NDVI/threshold files from the *.pcf file. |
| Problem Statement | On M*D35_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) INPUTPOINTER, had wrong entries and they were causing failures on downstream PGE08.On M*D35_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) PGEVERSION was wrong and had a “PGE03:” prefix before the PGEVERSION and was causing some problems in ECS.On M*D35_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) ALGORITHMPACKAGEVERSION had a wrong value of 2 which needed to be 6.On M*D35_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) LOCALINPUTGRANULEID, had wrong entries and they were causing failures on downstream PGE08.On M*D35_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) CLOUD_MASK_ALGORITHM_VERSION_NUMBER had a wrong value of 1.00 and needed to be 6.00.On M*D35_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.34) PRODUCTIONHISTORY did not have the “PGE03:” prefix in front of the version.On M*D07_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) PGEVERSION was wrong and had a “PGE03:” prefix before the PGEVERSION and was causing some problems in ECS.On M*D07_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) ALGORITHMPACKAGEVERSION had a wrong value of 2 and needed to be 6.On M*D07_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) PROFILES_ALGORITHM_VERSION_NUMBER had a wrong value of 1 and needed to be 6.On M*D07_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) TOTAL_OZONE_ALGORITHM_VERSION_NUMBER had a wrong value of 1 and needed to be 6.On M*D07_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.33) STABILITY_INDICES_ALGORITHM_VERSION_NUMBER had a wrong value of 1 and needed to be 6.On M*D07_L2 (PGE03.v6.0.34) PRODUCTIONHISTORY did not have the “PGE03:” prefix in front of the version.When the geolocation file had missing longitude/latitude values the alg29/alg17 of MODA_PRLCAT was crashing.There was a problem with the MOD_PRAGG step that would show the files were not found on the LogStatus even if they would be opened fine.The NDVI/threshold files were fetched from hardcoded locations while they needed to be fetched from the *.pcf. |
| Description of Change | * Corrected the aforementioned Metadata problems by setting the correct values.* Changed the Alg17/Alg29 to work with missing values on the geolocation file.* Fixed the MOD_PRAGG to not report false messages to the LogStatus file.* Changed MOD_PRLCAT to fetch the NDVI,threshold files from the *.pcf file instead of a static location. |

| Justification | Fixed general metadata problems that in some cases cause downstream PGEs to fail and bugs in cases that geolocation file had fill values. Fixed the MOD_PRAGG false messages on the LogStatus file. Fetched the NDVI/threshold files from the *.pcf file. |
| Effective Date for Implementation of Change | Install PGE03 6.0.39 on 3/10/2014 in mtvs5 for Aqua reprocessing from 2010-001 to 2013-365, and in mtvs8 for both Aqua and Terra forward process from 2014-001. |
