MODAPS PCR 11-026

PCR Number 11-026
Date 2011-03-03
Initiator Bill Ridgway
Abstract PGE85 code was changed so the error on the MOD_PRCSRFM is reporting that the Sensor Zenith is greater than allowed maximum without terminating.
Problem Statement PGE currently gives a RunErr code in the MOD_PRCSRFM step without continuing to the MOD_PRCSRG step when the Sensor Zenith angle is greater than the maximum allowed value (65.9) during maneuvers.
Description of Change The code was changed so the error on the MOD_PRCSRFM is reporting that the Sensor Zenith is greater than allowed maximum without terminating.
Products Affected MODCSRFM, MODCSRQC, MODCSR_G, MODFMHDR, MODFMQC, MYDCSRFM, MYDCSRQC, MYDCSR_G, MYDFMHDR, MYDFMQC
Software Affected PGE85 v5.1.6
Processing String to Receive the Change Terra Forward, Terra Reprocessing, Aqua Forward, Aqua Reprocessing
Downstream Product Effects None.
Data Granules to be Used for Science Testing Two different types of tests were peformed:1. AS275 PGE85 v5.1.4 with PGE01 v5.0.43 input data vs AS285 PGE85 v5.1.6 with PGE01 v5.0.43. In this test we verified that MODCSR_B output from AS285 matched with AS275 but also the granules that were failing in AS275 completed successfully.2. AS276 PGE85 v5.1.4 with PGE01 v5.0.41 input data vs AS286 PGE85 v5.1.6 with PGE01 v5.0.41. In this test we verified that MODCSR_B output from AS286 matched with AS276 the granules that were failing in AS276 completed successfully.
Justification It allows the generation of products in cases where the Sensor Zenith is greater than allowed maximum and prior code fails.
Effective Date for Implementation of Change ASAP
Status Bill Ridgway approved on 03/22/2011. This is an internal PCR approved for documenting the verification of the successful testing of the PGE. There is no change to the science code and so no further science testing is required.
