| Abstract | Introduces the L3 Monthly Burned Area (MCD45A1) product. |
| Problem Statement | Errors of commission occurring after rainfall events. Note, the burned areacode has never been run on a global data set in any collection in MODAPS,consequently there will be no interruptions in the burned area productcontinuity as a result of this change. Also, there are no downstream dependencies. |
| Description of Change | Updated code to fix an error of commission in the mapped burned areas by including a thermal wavelength test and reduced buffer block size to accommodate required extra band of input data. |
