| Abstract | To implement updates in PGE04 v6.0.38, PGE04 v6.0.39 with a required algorithm fix to restore product quality. |
| Problem Statement | MYD05_L2 Water_Vapor_Near_Infrared SDS was found to have unacceptable noise in scenes with broken clouds. This issue was traced to the use of re-aggregated Band1/Band2 radiances (MYD021KM_RA) as inputs. The algorithm uses Band2 & Band17, which are adversely de-registered by the RA process. |
| Description of Change | Altered use of RA flag in MOD_PR04_05 so that MYD021KM_RA files are ignored by PGE05. |
